PLEASE NOTE:  WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28 WALK CANCELLED or POSTPONED -

The GNMP Visitor's Center walk for this Wednesday has been cancelled due to cold, high winds and snow.  The park service will let us know soon if it can be rescheduled to Feb 4 or Feb 11 (both Wednesdays).  Also, Parking Lot#3 at the Visitor's Center has been closed for the winter.  We will leave from the National Cemetery parking lot -which is across from the National Cemetery at 97 Taneytown Road. More info when the new date is set.  (the original walk details were:  Wednesday, Jan 28, 1:00:  WALK, GNMP Visitor’s Center, 2 miles.  Located between Baltimore Pike and Taneytown Rd just south of Hunt Ave.  Park in Lot #3 if open or Lot #1 and then walk to Lot #3 via trail behind the Visitor’s Center.  The walk includes wooded gravel trail and roads. It passes the PA monument, the Angle and Meade’s Hqtrs.) These will be revised to a new date AND a new starting location.
