Go 1 mile on 233 then turn left onto Quarry Gap Rd, at the sign for Hosack Run Campground. Proceed up Quarry Gap Rd to the end.   This is a moderately difficult 3.5 mile hike with significant elevation gain on the AT portion of the hike (and significant elevation loss on the Hosack Run Trail. The AT section passes by the Quarry Gap Shelter and a very nice section of mountain laurel. The Hosack Run Trail has a few creek crossing, although the water should be very low.
